The project of expanding Thessaloniki's coastal waterfront has won the 3rd prize in the national competition of greece, held in 2022. since then it has been featured in the 11th bienNale of architecture of greece, as well as in various publications.
The project aims to create a multicultural meeting point where the city's history intersects with the contemporary landscape. By studying the traces of old paths and axes, the design proposes a route that combines the rigidity of urban lines with the fluidity of natural elements, creating a mosaic of memories and cultures.
The use of natural materials such as wood and stone, combined with metal elements that reference the port's past, creates a sense of continuity and unity with the environment. The result is a space that invites visitors to discover Thessaloniki's rich history and enjoy the unique sea views.
THE PROJECT WAS REALISED IN COLLABORATION WITH THE GREEK STUDIOS: MID STUDIO AND STUDIO99
