Artemis Papakosta, born in Drama, Greece, has studied architecture in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and in the Ecole Nationale Superieure d'architecture in Bordeaux, France. She graduated with a masters in architecture and engineering, focused in social architecture and its ability to impact the psycology of its users, especially in challenging social environments like prisons and mental institutes. This research led her to actively participate in various public projects with a social agenda, driven by her belief in architecture's power to challenge and ultimately reshape perspectives and behaviors. Her work has been recognized in national and international competitions, the last one being  the greek national competition for the redevelopment of thessaloniki's coastal area, where she won the 3rd prize. For the last two years, artemis has been an architect at the renowned international studio embt - miralles tagliabue in barcelona. There, she has led significant projects such as the Piranesi Prix 2022 competition for the redevelopment of the Acropolis surroundings, securing the 4th prize. Her architectural portfolio includes high-profile projects like the Roca Pavilion for the Fuorisalone 2023 in Milan and participation in the 2022 Biennale of Venice.  Currently, she is exploring the potential of abandoned historical buildings in Italy to break down social barriers. Fluent in greek, english, spanish, italian, and french, she possesses the ability to bridge cultures and forms of expression.
